Which Beaches Are The Best To Visit In South Florida?

My family is planning on going to a beach in South Florida, which beaches are the best to visit? They also have to be kid-friendly, my little cousins are coming.

anything north of fort lauderdale will do.

Miami is out of the question for kids.

Fort lauderdale is like a cheap version of Miami and you usually get alot more teens and under 21 people because they cant afford to spend time in Miami and Miami is more of a 21+ type of place.

heading north though near palm beach etc..pretty quiet beaches with plenty of parking – best spot for kids.

Come to Fort Myers Beach, it is kid friendly, though the beach is almost gone in high tide. I would recommend West Palm Beach from personal experience.

Being born and raised in Florida I would have to ask what part of South Florida are you looking to visit? If lower western coast (Gulf Coast, which has the prettier beaches) I would say Tarpon Springs, Sarasota Beach, or Santa Rosa Island. If you are planning on seeing the Western (Atlantic) side of Florida, then Cocoa Beach, Boca Raton, or Newport Beach would be the best for views. If you’re looking for snorkeling, diving, or just beach swimming then you can’t beat the panhandle…although that’s a little north of what you were looking for. If you can swing the $$….the Keys have some of the most scenic beach and water views out there. Hope this helps….
