How far south in Florida do you have to go to see light blue ocean water?

I went to Tampa one time, but the water was more greenish. Is the water light blue in South Florida?

I live in Sarasota and our keys here have perfectly clear turquoise water. Go to either Anna Maria Island, Lido Key or Casperson Beach in Venice. Sarasota is about 50 minutes south of Tampa.

I go to Tampa about once a week for business but I haven’t found too many nice beaches there. I like Tampa but you cannot compare it’s beaches to the ones in Sarasota for example!

West Coast of Florida has beautiful beaches. Ft. Myers Beach is great, Sanibel Island too.
