I am going to buy a used car from an individual in Palm Beach County Florida. How do I get home with no tag?

Home is in Broward County, an hour drive. Obviously an individual seller will remove his tag and will not provide me with a temp tag.

All you need is a dated paper tag that says "Tags Applied For". If you have all the documentation in the car and you happen to get pulled over the paperwork will be clear that you just bought the car and you are transporting it home. All of this is perfectly legal.

You need to contact your insurance agent and get the car covered before making the trip.
