    The storm …
The storm maintained weak Category 3 status as it crossed the state…Wilma was a strange storm because the opposite side of the storm backbuilded. Usually the back side, while still strong, is nowhere near as fierce as the front. The same thing kind of happened with Tropical Storm Fay in 2008, it was able to maintain strength as it traveled over the peninsula…an unexplained phenomena. I guess somebody will figure out why eventually.

It was a pleasure to find you that unique whistleblower that had info regarding 1999. I humbly apologize for waking you up but God directs me&I follow his orders, not your sleep schedule.
I again humbly apologize but this person is really important for Albert & World Peace.

i was in the acreage when this hit. big tree branches were snapped off, my patio screens were completely ripped apart, that had to be at least a category 3 with 115 mph winds when it came through. to fllover, yes that was a fun hurricane. to craig, a fenceboard blew off in the first part of the eyewall, put it back up during the eye, second part, blew it back off, this time her. that had to be a category 3 on both sides when it rolled through.

    What was the …
What was the official cat. rating of wilma. Because there is no way the back part of that storm was a cat. 1. We were in Lake Worth and came out when the eye of the storm was directly over us. There was just minimal damage. After the back end of the storm hit, every screened in patio was demolished. Every non-palm tree was down. Spanish style roof tiles were everywhere. Again, there was no way it was a category one.

This video was shot to the north and northeast. The first part of the video is of the front of the storm. Later, when I am out in the yard, the back end of the storm comes in. It was much worse, so I had to go inside and got no video of the actual back end of the storm.

It was too dangerous to even open the door.

These homes are mostly wood frame, built in th 1980s before the strict hurricane standards were enacted after Andrew.

I don’t supposed it would be cost effective to build housing that would hold up any better. It seems that these houses are just “pasted” together compared to brick houses.

I live in SW Ranches. We were without power for 2 whole weeks. A nice crew of power workers from Ohio finally replaced the power pole that was laying in our front yard. We lost half of the trees on our heavily landscaped 2 1/2 acres. We didn’t think things would ever get right.
