It looks awesome, so lucky that she liked the changes. I would be horrified if I was getting a tattoo and the artist deviated from the design and did something different, especially if I didn’t like it. But this looks great. The colours are fantastic

  9. RyuShiKan says:

    Superstar020- that …
Superstar020- that tattoo does look nice, the guy does good work. some parts of America still ociate women and tattoos as being bad. In Japan many, if not most, public baths, water parks and pools wont let people in with tattoos….male or female.

  10. superstar020 says:

    Poor thing. I could …
Poor thing. I could never imagine living in Bumble-Fuck america where people are still segregated and wearing a tattoo makes you in cahoots with the devil.

    Her tattoo turned out great!

  11. RyuShiKan says:

    See if you would …
See if you would have actually studied Japanese you would be familiar with the nuance of the term “2nd wife”. Being a “2nd wife” is not a good thing either. It would take far more space than allowed here to explain the class and social structure of that time period to you.

  12. RyuShiKan says:

    Sources? How about …
Sources? How about friends with first hand knowledge. The “crap novel I was alluding to were books like “Shogun” an absolute piece of as a “cultural” reference to Japan. So you enlighten me with all your firsthand knowledge of Japan from behind your keyboard in the Netherlands.

  13. RyuShiKan says:

    Lets see…I …
Lets see…I started living in Japan since you were still in your mother’s stomach, been speaking, reading, writing, Japanese for longer. Hmmm ya you’re right I am clueless.
OR maybe you’re just bitter because I showed you your logic is flawed and your knowledge of Japanese culture is lacking.

  14. MiboJinNoYuwaku says:

    then why do the …
then why do the books that were actually written by geisha and not, what you call a crap novel, tell about geisha being 2nd wives and the first wives silently accept this, You seem to have truly an infinite knowledge, would you like to explain where you get the resources from?

  15. MiboJinNoYuwaku says:

    you maybe live in …
you maybe live in japan and ride a honda, but that doesn’t mean you know all about geisha. You seem obesessed with down talking, and think everyone else is wrong. i read a lot of books, even the ones written by geisha. sure, there are message boards that follow them daily, seen at leat 40 photographers trying get a pic of a maiko turning geisha.if you don’t care about them, doenst mean that no one cares

  16. RyuShiKan says:

    Poor people of that …
Poor people of that time period were not educated. You need to learn more on the Japanese class system as well…”artisans” are very low on the class system.
Oh, and they are NOT followed in the Japanese press daily.

  17. RyuShiKan says:

    Your logic is …
Your logic is flawed. Look up the definition of the word.

  18. MADAMEOCTA07 says:

    wow theyd love me …
wow theyd love me where she lives. being an aethiest (spelling?) n everything HAHA! wicked tattoo

  19. MiboJinNoYuwaku says:

    every one watched ‘ …
every one watched ‘memoirs of a geisha’so yes we know they were sold poor. first of all poor people can be intelligent too, you know. and they were checked before taken into an okiya. second, they have years of training making them high class and intelligent. to this day they are worshipped, and followed by the japanese press daily

  20. MiboJinNoYuwaku says:

    a whore is a woman …
a whore is a woman that makes her daily income having sex for money, not a woman that had sex once for a good price. compared to a modern day woman i would say they were even prude. nowadays you hear about 15 or 16 y/o girls accepting money for sex from boys just for fun.

  21. jveuduson says:

    Sunmaat was …
    Sunmaat was actually right.
A Geisha is not a prostitute in the first think a westerner would think it …

  22. huntercharcoalolisa says:

    agreed. that’s the …
agreed. that’s the definition of a prostitute

  23. turnbugu says:

    So to paraphrase, …
So to paraphrase, one can purchase sex for money? ;)

  24. sunmaat says:

    The geisha in …
The geisha in Japanese society belongs to a time long ago, during the days of the samurai and Shogun. The geisha is NOT a prostitute. She is taught as a person of culture – the exact translation is ‘woman of art’. Geisha are taught how to dance, flower arrange and entertain very wealthy Japanese business men. Only after a number of years is a price negotiated for a Geisha’s virginity and the gentleman paying the price is able to have sex with her. Some geisha become very wealthy indeed.
