Why is Florida’s Atlantic coast exempt from off shore drilling and states further up will be in jeopardy ?

Politics maybe? I hope North Carolinians will express some concern.

It’s all about money.

Florida is a big tourist destination and besides Orlando, people go to the beach. Tons of oil slicking up Miami Beach or Daytona Beach would be bad for tourism. Florida makes more money from tourism now than they could get from oil. There are other areas that are covered as well including places where the fishing industry is important.

    " jeopardy?" ——-> of what?

    Oh do some research before you mentally answer my question. You’ll be very surprised as to what you find…..at least on your hidden reasoning use of the word….." jeopardy".
