My Grandmother has left a fairly large estate to be divided equally among her kids and grandkids. She passed of complications of Alzheiner’s. My Dad fears my uncle-his older brother-is keeping the will & money for himself or may have changed the will to benefit only him.
There is an old copy, but we don’t know if someone changed it or if it was actually filed. I tried going to County clerk online and found nothing. Anywhere.
Do you know who her lawyer was? I would think they would have a copy. It should’ve been recorded at the county clerks office of the county. Try getting them on the phone and having them look it up for you. The uncle shouldn’t be able to change the will unless he had a power of attorney for your grandmother.
