Registration is now open for the 16th Annual Miami/Ft. Lauderdale Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Race participants may register as individuals or form teams and start collecting pledges for the power of 10 challenge. We are expecting more than 20,000 participants and 1,500 breast cancer survivors to participate in this Race for the Cure. Survivor procession and ceremony, 5K run and walk, one mile fun run and tot run to benefit the fight against breast cancer.

how can i make money recycling old computer parts in miami-dade county?

hi all, i have been searching non stop for answers on this, i have lots of old computer parts, which i do want to recycle. but have paid my fair share of money for them, is there anywhere in miami dade county where i can recycle these parts for some dough, it doesnt have to be alot, but something at least. i have 3 motherboards, a couple of optical drives 3-4 cpus, a hdd, ram and some power supplies. please if anyone can help me out, thanks

Call or visit a local computer repair shop, if the parts are workable, they’ll likely offer you something. Don’t expect much, though, computers depreciate much faster than cars do. Look at your ram and HDD – they need to be at least scalable to current offerings. A 20GB hard drive is pretty small, when you can get 16GB chips for your camera.

I want to volunteer at an animal shelter, anything to do with helping animals, any animal shelters that allow volunteer’s to be at least 16 years of age. Iam planning on getting my female dog regnate and i really want to keep one but my dad says that in Miami Dade u cant have more than 4 dogs and we have 4 dogs and its gonna be hard for me to take them to an adopption center when they are 45 days old plz help me and tell me its not true

Sorry only 4 allowed on less than one acre which usually means the majority of homes in a neighborhood. Here is the link to see for yourself. You don’t need to be breeding anyway – there are already 1000s of pets for adoption in Miami area.

Go to the County Office of Consumer Affairs in Miami, they have a permits office. You may also have to get a Health Dept certificate. They’ll tell you where to get it.

Does anyone know where I can go to find the answer?
My husband wants to move to florida (specifically Dade county) and it is really important for us to know. I know there is a ban on pit bulls or pitbull type dogs but I do not know what the "pit bull-type dogs" are. Please help me find out. Thank you.

‘Pit bull type’ dogs are the bully bread. An American bulldog is a bully dog. But I could not find anything on weather or not they are banned.

Your best option would be to call the Miami Humane Society and ask, they will know.

What is the minimum age for admittance for Miami Dade County elementary school?s?

I know that in Maryland the child must be age 5 before september 1st to be admitted to elementary schools but there is an early admittance program that allows child’s whose birthday is between Sept. 1st and Sept. 29th to be admitted. Is there such program in Florida?

In Florida it is age 5 on or before September 1. I don’t think that there are any exceptions.

Preferably under $200. My prescription is not strong, but one eye is myopic and the other is hyperopic.
