How is Pompano Beach?, I have a job offer there from Broward County and wondered if I should move there or Mia?

I currently live in Colorado Springs. I would really love to move to Miami and commute to Laud Lakes (thats where the job is actually located). Lotta people tell me I’m crazy leaving Colo Spgs to move to either Miami or Pompano Beach. Reason being that those areas are more dangerous than where I am.

It’s a long ugly drive from Lauderdale Lakes to Miami, so forget Miami. Even though there’s a ton of crazy culture in Miami, it’s shaky to live there. Ok to visit, but not to live. You’ll certainly want to live very close to the job. Parts of Lauderdale Lakes are fine, some are not. And I would probably pass on most of the city of Pompano Beach. Neighboring cities that are much better to live, and a short commute to LL, would be Tamarac, Coral Springs, and Coconut Creek.

If I’m not mistaken, Colorado Springs has a crime rate that’s higher than the national average. The cities I mentioned that would be good to live have crime rates that are lower than the national average. Coral Springs was ranked the safest city in Florida for 2008.

And besides, the temperature around here right now (7pm EST) is 77, and it’ll "drop" to 70 tonight. Hmm. What to do. Wear flip-flops or wear a heavy coat. Hmm.
